Prescriptive Personal Training
Prescriptive Personal Training involves many components beginning with a comprehensive assessment with
Barbara Minnick, Registered Kinesiologist and Certified Exercise Physiologist.

The assessment includes:
- -Completion of a ParQ physical activity readiness screen, informed consent &
- waiver (and physician's consent if required),
- -Full review of medical history, previous relevant injuries, postural assessment & personal fitness/lifestyle goals
- -Cardiovascular fitness analysis
- -Range of movement measurements
- -Muscle testing
- -Functional testing
Follow-up exercise sessions:

are individualized to suit each client's goals and objectives. Program components may include:

- cardiovascular exercise training: treadmill, bicycles, aquatic training, Urban poling, elliptical, row machine
- strength / resistance training using : free weights, resistance bands, medicine balls
- exercise ball stability exercises
- balance and falls prevention training
- functional core muscle exercises - using mats, Bosu, medicine balls, therapy bands etc.
